The investigation into the death of Brooke Hanlon, a 35-year-old licensed psychotherapist from Chester, New Jersey, continues as authorities have released the 911 call made by her husband after he discovered her critically injured inside their home.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the Hanlon residence shortly after 4:30 p.m. on June 6 following a report of a woman in cardiac arrest with a severe chest wound. According to authorities, Conor Hanlon, Brooke’s husband, placed the emergency call after finding her unconscious and covered in blood.
In the audio released by investigators, Conor can be heard pleading with the dispatcher for immediate assistance.
“I just found my wife… I need CPR instructions. I need you here. I need you here immediately.”
When asked whether Brooke was conscious or bleeding, he responded that she was not responsive. The dispatcher then guided him through CPR procedures while emergency personnel rushed to the scene.
According to reports, a dispatcher later classified the incident as a “suspicious death.” An autopsy conducted by the Morris County Medical Examiner’s Office determined that Brooke died from multiple sharp-force injuries, and her manner of death was officially ruled homicide.
Despite weeks of investigation, authorities have not announced any arrests or identified any suspects. Prosecutors have stated that Conor Hanlon has not been charged with any crime or accused of wrongdoing. Officials also confirmed that he has been cooperating with investigators and has retained legal counsel.
