The Hamilton, Ontario, community is mourning the tragic loss of Rayan Sleiman Harb, a 24-year-old real estate professional who died following a fatal multi-vehicle collision on the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.
Her sudden passing has left family, friends, colleagues, clients, and members of the Lebanese-Canadian community heartbroken as they remember a young woman whose kindness, compassion, and dedication touched countless lives.
Fatal Crash on the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway
According to the Hamilton Police Service, emergency crews responded to a serious collision on the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway at approximately 7 p.m. on July 8.
Investigators reported that Rayan was driving a Honda Civic when it collided with a Buick towing a utility trailer. The impact caused her vehicle to cross the grassy median into oncoming traffic, where it was struck by a tractor-trailer.
Despite the rapid response of emergency personnel, Rayan suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Hamilton Police Traffic Injury Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Rayan had already established herself as a respected real estate agent in Hamilton, earning praise for her professionalism, honesty, and genuine care for her clients. Her brother, Dawoud Harb, shared an emotional tribute describing Rayan as a “beautiful butterfly” whose love, laughter, and compassion left an unforgettable mark on everyone she met. He recalled that just before leaving home on the day of the crash, she had been smiling, joking with family, and making plans for the days ahead.

Prayer services were held at the Islamic Centre of Hamilton, where family and friends gathered to support one another and celebrate Rayan’s life.
In accordance with her family’s wishes, arrangements were made for Rayan to be returned to Ghaziyeh, Lebanon, where funeral prayers and burial services were held on Friday, July 10, 2026.
