According to authorities, Kristen Davis Marroquin sustained fatal injuries after being struck by a motor vehicle while traveling in a wheelchair on the East Ben White Boulevard westbound frontage road. Emergency responders arrived quickly and attempted lifesaving measures, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Austin Police Department’s Vehicular Homicide Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision. Police said the driver remained at the scene and has cooperated fully with investigators.
